BRUSSELS - At the announcement of the strike of the administrative and psycho-social services of the prisons two weeks ago, prisoners in St-Gilles refused to go back to their cells after the walk. Federal Police came massively, blocking of the entire perimeter and putting surveillance patrols in the popular neighbourhood of St-Gilles in Brussels. Riots then erupted when police intervened inside the prison, rebellious prisoners opposing themselves and fighting back. A helicopter and a water cannon were present.
