BRUSSELS – An uprising broke out in the prison of Saint-Gilles. When going to the walk, around 50 prisoners managed to take the keys from a high grade guard. They took the control of a corridor, barricading the entrances and arming themselves with bricks and metal bars. They started to destroy the infrastructure. Most of them were masked. Police intervened with about 100 cops, dogs and teargas to break the uprising. One guard and one cop got injured during this storming of the prison. The uprising started at 15h30 and ended at 18h in the early evening.
