Steenokkerzeel – Stones and mud against the police

A demonstration took place on Sunday 26, in front of the asylum centre 127bis in Steenokkerzeel. The 150 demonstrators present were all searched and surrounded by the police, present with 150 people and 15 horses. When the demonstrators go towards the construction site of the future asylum centre next to the existing one, the police block the way and arrest 15 people (they are released later that day). There's pushing and pulling with the cops, and mud, potatoes and a few stones are thrown at them. One policeman is hurt in the face, one demonstrator is for a few hours brought to the hospital with a light concussion.
