BRUSSELS - In a high school in Saint-Gilles, there was unrest between the pupils after the direction ordered a body search of several youngsters to find back stolen goods. The school pupils refused to reintegrate classes and started to smash windows and damage the school buildings. Police had to intervene to calm the situation.
A few days later, unknown persons broke in into another school in Saint-Gilles, stealing everything that had any value and destroying about all class rooms and offices of the school. The school board says this is clearly an act of vengeance after the unrest in the other school. The damage is so big that the school will remain closed for at least several weeks.
