Prisoners in struggle at the prison of
Andenne gave these informations:
“A few days ago, people came around 9 'o
clock in the evening in front of the walls of the prison. They came from the
side of the railroad next to the wall of the prison. They started to shout
freedom and long live revolt. They put fire to tires or something alike which
they posed on the train tracks. Next, the launched fireworks. We shouted a lot,
some guys burned sheets. Guards didn't understand what was happening to them.
That night, no train could pass. Later on, a lot of police officers came to the
prison. They searched the surroundings and also entered in the prison to check
the perimeters. They stayed several
hours.”
