Last week, two aggressions occurred against the CPAS (social aid institution) in Bernissart. On the 8th of November, a man who was released from prison a few months ago penetrated the building with a gun and threatened social assistants at the debt mediation service. “The man didn't agree how we host his money. But we only mediate and we only give the money after the court's decision.”
The next day, another angry person came with his friends to reclaim his money. “We had to call the police because he had the intention to take an employer hostage after having destroyed windows.” After having installed surveillance cameras and an electric door after former 'incidents', they will now install a lock door and put a security guard in front of building.
