Trucks and vans burned

FLEMALLE – In the industrial zoning, unknown persons put two trucks of a private company on fire. Both were destroyed. (31/12/2012)

LIEGE – Since several days, a wave of arsons against vehicles and vans touches the region and city of Liege. Last night, a company van was put on fire on the parking lot of a commercial centre in Herstal. The fire threatened to spread to the nearby commercial building, but firemen prevented further damage. Bruxelles - Cinq gardiens K.O.

SAINT-GILLES Les tensions au sein des prisons se ravivent, en cette fin d’année.

La semaine dernière, un incident était survenu à la maison d’arrêt de Saint-Gilles, incident à la suite duquel une commission interne avait été tenue ce samedi afin de décider comment sanctionner le responsable, un certain J-J Simon, âgé de 32 ans.

Ce détenu, selon nos infos, avait été amené devant les autorités de la prison entouré de… Cinq gardiens. C’est que l’homme connaît des techniques de combat, il est catcheur ! La décision de le sanctionner ne lui a visiblement pas du tout plu.

Il a carrément disjoncté et a commencé à se rebeller contre ces agents, avec une violence inouïe. Cinq d’entre eux, et un sixième, plus légèrement, ont été blessés (voir la DH de ce 30 décembre). Certains souffrent d’une incapacité de travail mais tous sont sortis de l’hôpital.

Le forcené, notamment condamné en 1997 à quatre ans pour des raisons inconnues, et également à cinq ans supplémentaires par la cour d’appel en juin 2012, a été transféré ce dimanche à la prison de Nivelles. Ce qui l’attend ? “Neuf jours de cachot pour avoir atteint à l’intégrité physique d’un agent pénitentiaire , confie Michel Jacobs, de la CGSP. Le directeur et les gardiens vont certainement porter plainte au pénal pour coups et blessures envers l’autorité” .

Brussels - Five prison guards K.O.

BRUSSELS – In the prison of Saint-Gilles, tensions are rising since a few weeks. Yesterday, a prisoner who was brought before the internal disciplinary court attacked the five prison guards who were accompanying him. All five of them got wounded and had to be brought to the hospital. The prisoner, a trained kick-boxer, was transferred to the prison of Nivelles and put in isolation. The prison guard unions blame the over-population of the prison to be at the source of the tensions (almost 900 prisoners whereas officially, there’s place for 600).

Eupen - Une nuit de peinture

Tags sur l’hôtel de ville et d’autres bâtiments

Dans la nuit de jeudi à vendredi, des actes de vandalisme ont été commis à Eupen. Des bâtiments officiels ont été recouverts de peinture. C’est notamment le cas de l’hôtel de ville. Des conteneurs situés près du palais de justice ont aussi été vandalisés. La police a constaté les faits.

Tongeren - Fausse alerte à la bombe au palais de justice

TONGEREN -Vendredi matin, la police a reçu un appel signalant qu'une bombe avait été posée dans le Palais de Justice. La police a alors procédé à l'évacuation du bâtiment. Aucune bombe n'a été retrouvée et le tribunal a réouvert quelques heures plus tard.

Tongeren - Hoax bomb threat at Court

TONGEREN - Friday morning, police received a call saying a bomb had been planted in the Courthouse. Police evacuated the justice palace and swept the building. No bomb was found. The court reopened a few hours later.
